PLATTSMOUTH DOWNTOWN HISTORIC GUIDELINES

The Plattsmouth Historic Preservation Board is responsible to city government for monitoring changes to properties in the historic district and provides advice and guidance on projects in the surrounding area.  By providing a guide for preserving and rehabilitating the historic buildings we will continue our unique regional attraction for many years to come.

The guideline goals of making Plattsmouth a "destination" for visitors, improving the economic potential to attract new businesses, and stengthening property values of the entire community are attainable. 

With the knowledge that Plattsmouth residents and building owners take great pride in the downtown historic district this document is an effort to preserve and enhance the best qualities of the area.
