The Main Street Corridor Improvement Dedication on October 7 including a VIP Reception, Dedication Ceremony and live entertainment was a stellar success with a reception at 5pm, dedication and ribbon cutting at 6pm and entertainment from 7-10pm. The Entertainment Plaza was packed with visitors all evening enjoying the live entertainment and good food.
Miss Plattsmouth, Olivia Scott, sang the National Anthem to open the dedication ceremony. Olivia is a 2011 graduate of Plattsmouth High School, a Freshman (or is Freshperson) at Creighton University, and a past member of the Plattsmouth Main Street Association Board of Directors as a student intern.
Live entertainment was by "Rave-On" the band to accompany Billy McGrigan a "Buddy Holly" interpreter. This group is well known in the Omaha Nebraska area. Billy does other interpretations also.
The Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce had their annual Cruizin' Main that evening so the town will be very busy.
The entertainment stage was set up by the city street staff in record time and in a precise manner. It was rock solid and will be used for many future events.
